Our classes are short, fun Chakas
You might have noticed that most of our classes are 25 minutes in duration. This is because studies show that short bursts of learning are more effective than studying for hours at a time. Another thing we’ve taken into account is that taking part in an online session is not the same as being in a real-world classroom: it can be rather intense to sit in front of a screen and requires plenty of concentration – especially for younger learners. This is also why we operate in a workshop style, drawing as much interaction as possible from our students and ensuring that they remain engaged throughout their 25 minute Chakas.

Our name is also derived from the South African dish chakalaka, a colourful and spicy mix of natural goodness that ignites the senses. Once you’ve tasted it, you never forget it. The idea is that we offer a dynamic and engaging blend of online learning experiences that cater to the diverse tastes and needs of our students. And our classes are, of course, spicy and fun.

Our location is inspiring
Although we deliver our courses online, we’re proud to be based in Harrogate in the heart of the UK. It’s a friendly, welcoming spa town with quintessentially British features like tea rooms, parks, cricket pitches and even a few red phone boxes if you know where to look. It’s a great place to be inspired by and we think just the right location — away from the bustle but near major cities like Leeds and York — from which to deliver courses.
